Sutula's Diamond Dust

1997 - 2009

Dusty, was an extraordinary dog.  She was the first to earn a Working Pack Dog Title in the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Chicago.  There are many stories to tell about that alone.  One that comes to mind is that while earning one of her ten-mile hikes.  It was done on a three-mile trail at Bond Falls in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  We walked the trail back and forth two times and then to get the last leg, we turned around and walked back again.  You could almost hear what she was thinking.  Why are we going to do it again?  Are we lost?  She was always ready to hike.  She did several of the hikes within a week and even though I knew that she was tired, she was ready and eager to go.

She was a best friend. Never in a bad mood and always ready for more fun.  She'll always be missed.
